Privacy Policy
How Mycelium Games handles your data — because we believe in transparency, even in the undergrowth.
Last updated: July 30, 20261. Introduction
Mycelium Games (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a small independent game studio based in the digital soil. We make tactile, physical, slightly feral games — and we treat your privacy with the same care we put into our work.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We don't chase trends, and we don't sell your data. Simple as that.
2. What we collect
Because we're a tiny studio, we collect very little. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Email address — if you contact us directly or sign up for updates (we don't currently run a newsletter, but if we do, you'll opt in).
- Gameplay analytics — if you play our games, we may collect anonymized data like level completion, session length, and crash reports to help us improve. No personal identifiers are attached.
- Basic device info — such as browser type, operating system, and screen resolution, collected via our website analytics (see Section 4).
We do not intentionally collect precise location data, passwords, or payment information. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool. We don't want it, and we don't need it.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for a handful of simple purposes:
- To respond to your emails and messages.
- To improve our games based on anonymized usage data.
- To understand how our website is used so we can make it better.
- To notify you about updates to our games or this policy (only if you've asked us to).
We will never share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only exceptions are:
- If required by law or legal process.
- If we're acquired or merge with another studio (your data would remain protected under this policy).
4. Cookies & tracking
Our website uses a minimal amount of cookies. We use:
- Essential cookies — to keep the site functioning (e.g., remembering your preference to dismiss the release toast).
- Analytics cookies — we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use persistent identifiers. We don't use Google Analytics or any invasive tracking.
You can disable cookies in your browser at any time. The site will still work, though some small conveniences may be lost.
🧪 Good to know: We don't use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any of that creepy stuff. We believe in being honest about what we're doing, even when nobody's watching.
5. Third-party services
We use a handful of third-party services to run our studio. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and we choose them because they share our values around data protection:
- Email hosting — we use a standard email provider for correspondence. We don't store your email in any marketing system unless you've explicitly opted in.
- Analytics — we use a privacy-first analytics tool that anonymizes IP addresses and doesn't use cookies for tracking.
We do not use social media tracking scripts, ad networks, or any data brokers.
6. Data security
We take security seriously. Since we store very little personal data, the risk is low — but we still take precautions:
- Our website is served over HTTPS.
- Any data we store is kept on secure, password-protected systems.
- We regularly review our systems to ensure they're up to date.
If we ever experience a data breach, we'll notify affected users where required by applicable law, in accordance with applicable laws.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can ask us what data we hold about you.
- Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — you can ask us to delete your data (we'll do this promptly).
- Restriction — you can ask us to stop processing your data.
- Portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, just email us at myceliumentertainment@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children's privacy
Our games are suitable for players of all ages, but we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on our website and update the “Last updated” date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
